ManU's Hidden Talents

Manchester United's Christmas party sure was an event I would've wanted to take part in. Of course it would've been great just to see all those players, but to hear Shinji Kagawa and Robin van Persie sing... Man, I wish I would've been there to see it live! I did see those videos, but they were shot in a terrible quality and I couldn't really see anything. Still, even with the crappy quality those videos are worth watching. Especially Kagawa's Gangnam style is hilarious! I really didn't know those two stars had such a good sense of humor, unless they were serious... Yikes! :)

Catalan Colours

It has been announced that next season FC Barcelona will wear catalan colours on their away shirts. Many people in FC Barcelona, for example president Sandro Rosell and former manager Josep Guardiola have told that they support Catalonya's attempt to become independent. The players have been a bit more cautious with their words, but FC Barcelona is the pride of Catalunya and therefore it reflects their catalan fans opinions, so just like most catalans Barca also dreams of independence. There has been some quite interesting speculation about what would happen to FC Barcelona if Catalunya would become independent and I read somewhere that Barca could choose to play either in La Liga or Ligue 1 in France. Most likely Barca would keep playing in La Liga, but it would be interesting to see what happened if Catalunya became independent and how it would affect Barca.

Homosexuality in Football

Lately racism has been one of the biggest topics in the world of football. It's a big problem and even with all the campaigns etc there still is a new racism scandal nearly every day. Racism is a huge issue and I definitely understand why UEFA needs to pay so much attention to it. However what I've been wondering lately is that how long will it take until Uefa is going to pay attention to another problem in football, homophobia. I'm guessing it will take a long time since I don't know if everyone even sees it as a problem yet. But I do have to say that I think it's so admirable that for example Mario Gomez has talked about it even though it's still such a taboo.

FC Barcelona - Atletico Madrid

Hi everybody! All of you who've followed Barca this season
The "flea" and the "tiger" will face each other today
must have noticed their amazing form. Of course Barca has been great for years, but this season they have been even more spectacular than usual. Today however is the game that will show how good they really are as they play against their biggest La Liga rival this season, Atletico Madrid. Today's game will be very important to both of the teams, although even more so to Atletico who are desperate to get the whole 3 points at Camp Nou.

I have to say that it's nice to see for once that Atletico is doing so well. In my opinion Atletico Madrid has been one of the biggest underachievers in Europe for years. They've had such good players for many seasons and still they haven't been able to really succeed. Of course they've played really well in Europe League, but somehow the Champion's League has been too big of a challenge for them. Maybe next season it'll be Atletico's time to shine in the league of the champions.
